Adoptive Parent Services
We understand the adoption process can be overwhelming to adoptive families, which is why it is so important to work with a qualified and reputable agency. We are here to provide support and education throughout the process.
Adoption Programs & Independent Services
Placements are available in the following programs:
Caucasian Infant:
Through this program you may also choose a full Asian,Hispanic or Native American child.
African American Infant Program:
This program is defined to include a child born to 2 African American parents.
Bi-Racial Infant Program:
This program is defined to include a child born to 1 Caucasian, Asian, Native American or Hispanic parent and 1 African American parent.
Special Needs / Questionable Health Program:
This program is defined to include a child with a physical, mental, or emotional handicap, or children who are born healthy but who’s parents have history that lends itself to the potential for future physical or mental complications in the child. The future prognosis would be unknown.
Pre-Arranged / Targeted Adoptions:
This is a situation where a source other than Gentle Care identifies a Birthmother who wishes to place with a particular adopting couple who may or may not by currently adopting through Gentle Care. Gentle Care can facilitate the pre-arranged adoptive placement provided the couple has or completes an approved home study.
We also provide:
- Complete Home Studies for domestic and international placements through other agencies
- Post-Placement Supervision reports for families placed through other agencies
- Independent Assessor Services to assist attorneys, courts, and other adoption agencies in meeting the Ohio requirements for services to birthmothers.
